Review of The Road to El Dorado (2000) by Ryan P — 08 Apr 2008

I just watched this movie again yesterday; having not seen it since it was in theaters eight years ago, and I was surprised by what I found. This movie actually demonstrates some fairly sophisticated storytelling, and comes up with some interesting situations.

True, it's got some pointless comic relief, and an unnecessary fight with a giant monster, but if you can ignore these elements and focus on how good the animation looks and how dryly amusing the interplay between the main characters is, you'll have yourself a fun hour and a half watching this movie.
