Review of The Road to El Dorado (2000) by Brandon V — 14 Jan 2010
Not bad, but definitely one of the least inspired animated films I've seen. The animation is great, it has some witty moments, and the adult double entendres are curious in their awkwardness, but the music and story are utterly forgettable.
This was a Dreamworks animated feature on the tail end of the hand-drawn era that flopped at the box office and was critically panned, and that makes it something of an interesting relic. It does not make it a better film, though.
