This one of DreamWorks Animations' funniest film, along with the first two Shrek movies, the Madagascar movies, and Antz. It's story here is pretty risky here. It's an animated retelling of Herme Cortez's conquering the Aztec City but with two con men stowaways on his boat has has a map to the golden city. It's story here is risky, but it's how the execute it that works. It's animation is pretty stunning here. From it's character design to the background design. From my research it seem that DreamWorks was too busy with the Prince of Egypt than on this film. But it's pretty amazing. It's characters are the same as the animation. They all seem pretty likeable from Tolio and Miguel to the beautiful Chel to Tzechal-Kahn's evil wickedness to the Chief's humbleness to what he calls Miguel and Tolio as gods. The songs here are awesome and toe tapping here. Elton Johns' songs here are pretty awesome from Without Questions to It's Tough to Be a God, forms El Dorado to Friends Never Say Goodbye, from Someday out of the Blue to The Trail We Blaze are pretty catchy here. The Road to El Dorado is one of DreamWorks Animations examples of a great animated comedy, like The Emperor's New Groove. And for the people who hate this movie, shut up, screw you, and go say Michael Bay's movies or any dumb summer blockbuster movies are more stupider and dumber than this.

Story: 8/10.

Animation: 9/10.

Characters: 8/10.

Songs: 10/10.

Total: 8.5/10.
