I'm so tired of critics over-analysing films. They don't need to be clever or groundbreaking to be enjoyable. Sometimes people just set out to make a film silly and fun and I don't understand why people get so annoyed over that.
You're not their demographic. Go and enjoy your intellectual movies that win awards while everyone else has fun.
