Why do the so called "good guys" end up siding with the sick psychopaths at the end of the film? Rape, torture, murder, and sodomise countless women then be given a quick, painless, merciful death by the one person that's supposed to be your true enemy.
Why would Liotta's character literally aide & abet the man that did that to people he claimed to care about?? Evil.
