Call me old-fashioned, but I thought the end of a movie was supposed to help you make sense of what you've been watching for an hour and a half. Maybe the absurdity of the creature - once it was fully revealed - was supposed to distract you from thinking about that.
Too bad, missed a good opportunity to be a pretty good horror flick.
