Gripping! my heart was beating hard and fast the whole time, I was too scared to get out off my couch! this movie really handled the witchcraft genre very well, as it's not done very often (and when it is, it's difficult-to-view found footage, or has a non-specific, or depressing ending). it was also refreshing to see a horror flick not based on ghosts or zombies. *pulls party poppers !!*.
Some people are saying that four men being trapped in the woods is "cliche" and formulaic . it seems that writers can't produce a horror story set in the spooky woods lest they be called unoriginal, I suppose soon it will be 'unoriginal' for aliens to from down from space and not from the ocean or a cave etc etc.
