Amazing directing, questionable story. The movie does an amazing job creating a dark and creepy atmosphere in the first half. I was genuinely anxious and scared while watching. However, the second half changes gear and while I'm not mad at it, I feel like it had so much more potential.
Why work so hard to create that mood and then ruin it? However, I did like the subtle comedic elements of this film and the creature was very original. The flashback scenes were well-done, imo. Worth a watch, even with its flaws.
