Review of The Rite (2011) by Jill R — 23 Oct 2011
It was hard for me to decide how to view this movie, cause if I viewed it rationally like I usually do with movies it would just make me laugh, which it did anyway. But then I thought to myself, Im able to look at other movies like action movies that are really far fetched and watch them without judging it.
Yet when it goes out of its way to almost attack atheists, Anthony Hopkins has a quote in the beginning some thing to the effect of, "Atheist are always searching for answers" But really they dont need them, religious, and Satan worshipers are the ones who clam answers without real proof.
But again thats just me becoming defensive which really isnt me, so I let it slide, because all in all, it is just a movie. Now of course there are people who do believe in demons and shit and thats fine.
I really tried to just view this movie as a fairytale, because it was so far fetched and ridiculous I really just couldn't take it any longer.
