Review of The Ring Two (2005) by Fazley A — 19 Jan 2011
Wow this sequel is very meh. For one it is very uncharacteristic of what the first one sets up for us as the rules of the franchise. Instead of horses we get deer, but whats even more funny is how they explain them in a secret basement that we never heard of from the first film hahahaha. The explanation of why everything is happening to Aidan is really ridiculous and randomly thought out. Instead of trying to keep the cycle going, now Rachel is fighting to keep the evil out of our world, only to learn that its cause the well was never properly closed? What's sad is that most of the characters in this film are not needed, sucks for Simon Baker though, he'll always have The Mentalist.
What's really sad is the special features includes the short film Rings, which is way more interesting in its entirety of 16min, compared to the snorefest of 2hrs of this whole film.
The only plus in this film, Naomi Watts still looks as dashing as ever.
