Review of The Ring Two (2005) by Richard R — 29 Jun 2014
There's something about The Ring Two which is surprisingly good. It doesn't follow the storyline of the original Japanese film but instead is a standalone sequel. While the scares are few and far between the movie works as a more efficient thriller with supernatural overtones.
The central premise of a ghost wanting to live a normal life with a mum of her own is surprisingly touching, even if it's also incredibly creepy - but does lead to the best line (and best closing moment) of any horror film, especially for a sequel.
