Director Chloe Zhao has created a film of such beauty and honesty that it hardly seems like a narrative film at all. It feels much more like a documentary. A lot of that credit should also go to Brady Jandreau, who captures the simple yet very complicated existence of a rodeo rider who has nothing left when his dreams fall apart.
