Review of The Rider (2018) by Skip F — 07 May 2018
It starts slowly, relentlessly drawing you into a world with which you may not be familiar or understand. You realize that even if your own world is foreign to theirs the heartbreaks and emotions experienced by these people are universal.
Brady's is a coming of age story based on disappointment, violence, loss and lack of direction. Finding his way, among all of the real and believable surrounding characters makes for a story that is touching, heartwarming and at the same time suspenseful.
We're pulling for Brady all the way.. The cinematography is suburb and the script by writer/director Cloe Zaho, is near genius. My only criticism of the film is the long, drawn out set-up scenes which could have been better edited.
This is truly a film worth seeing.
