Review of The Revolt of Mamie Stover (1956) by Tobias R — 14 Mar 2018
An engrossing film with a standout performance by the highly underrate Jane Russell. Unfortunately, censorship lessened some of the feminist themes of a woman in the 1940s trying to build her own wealth and security after being used and abused by a misogynistic society.
That said, elements still remain. Definitely worth a watch.
