Review of The Revenant (2015) by Kyle S — 21 Oct 2017
Not many films I place a 5 star on...but this one is well deserved. There is so much I could talk about for this film or should I say masterpiece. Let's start with the cinematography, it had some of the most beautiful scenes I've seen in a film in a long time.
The scene of the mountain with the clouds hanging over while listening to Hugh's breath as he lays by his dead son put me in a trance. It made me appreciate a true work of art and shows why Alejandro is a true director.
The acting was top notch especially Tom Hardys who I think is not getting much attention for what he did. He's one of my favorite actors but he made me hate him for being able to protray such a bad man.
Leo showed his outstanding acting as usual and why he deserves an Oscar. This movie was done so well, that I can't put on here what I truly think of this film because I love it so much. This is one I will hold dearly in myfavorite peices of art.
