Review of The Revenant (2015) by Bellbird — 10 Feb 2016
A video game played by Di Caprio with real actors and settings. Begin game with massacre. Dodge enough arrows and buillets to reach the boat. Set off down river. Clever moves are rewarded (escape down freezing river but of course no hypothermia, this is a game not the real world) mistakes mean you have to acquire major wounds and injuries. Gain points with boosters (e.g. catch a fish, eat half, gain enough power to climb a mountain with symphonic backing).
Continuity disastrous - wounds on face kept opening, healing, moving around. But is is only a game after all.
A very silly movie, unless you are a gamer, in which case you'll love I when it is released.
