Review of The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1995) by Fiona N — 17 Jan 2008
Originally titled The Return of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Henkel's effort owes a lot to the original but he is incapable of creating an atmosphere of menace or terror. Weird story revolves around a bunch or kids on their way to prom who get lost/stuck in woods.
Audience is seriously expected to believe that the kids couldn't find their way to their school. McConaughey is quite interesting. Zellweger does what's expected of her. The ending has to be seen to be believed.
A film that is probably best avoided.
