Review of The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1995) by Ruben A — 29 Sep 2011
What is to be said of Texas Chainsaw: The Next Generation, which tries to reimagine the family with new blood and features some of the earliest performances by both Renee Zellweger and Matthew McConaughey??? Mostly tired and boring, TCM: Next Generation suffers the fate of most TCm sequels--it never manages to reach the levels of gritty, visceral horror that the original remains so well renowned for.
Entertaining but ultimately crap, TCM: Next Generation should only be of interest to fans who want to see the whole series or those who enjoy watching completely crappy horror films.
