Review of The Return of the Pink Panther (1975) by Mike S — 08 Aug 2009
This was Peter Sellers's third performance as the bumbling Inspector Clouseau. Reliably and consistently funny, some of the best scenes are when Sellers is alone on screen (as when he wrestles with a too-powerful vacuum cleaner or a too-tight desk) or when Clouseau is sparring with his manservant Cato (the slow-motion leaps are laugh-out-loud hilarious).
Herbert Lom as Clouseau's boss is also a treat as he slides into insanity and attempts to kill Clouseau. A great, fun movie.
