Richard Lester reunited the cast of his Musketeers films and ilmed this adaptation of a lesser-known Alexandre Dumas sequel, Twenty Years Later.
Michael York, Frank Finlay, Oliver Reed, Richard Chamberlain, Christopher Lee, and Geraldine Chaplin all reprise their roles from the originasl film with C. Thomas Howell and Kim Cattral along for good measure. The plot revolves around the machinations of Cardinal Mazarin in France with Cromwell beheading Charles I in England thrown in for good measure. Not as good as THE THREE MUSKETEERS/THE FOUR MUSKETEERS but worth a look if you liked the earlier movies.
