Many of the below comments are quite silly. This is not the Norton film, but the pilot for the series. The idea that Ferrigno wasn't big enough is silly. Who the hell else is going to play the part in the 1970s!
As for the pilot, it isn't perfect, but it worked like charm. Then again I like the series. As usual Bixby holds everything together.
