Review of The Return of Jafar (1994) by John E — 28 May 2009
Some partly unbelievable character actions (Aladdin lying again and no one believing him?), not very memorable songs and noticeably poor animation are all problems that this film sports. For me, the only highlight was the eponymous return of Jafar, who still remains evil and venomous as ever, superbly voiced by Jonathan Freeman.
I do have to give credit to Dan Castellaneta for ably stepping in Robin Williams' shoes and doing a pretty good job of it (pity he wasn't given as much to improvisational humor as Williams).
