Review of The Resurrection of Gavin Stone (2017) by Peggy H — 25 Jan 2017
Sometimes (but not often) faith based movies bring new insight I hadn't thought of, or encourages me in my faith. The movies are often dry and a case of preaching to the choir.
The Resurrection of Gavin Stone was a fabulous departure from the norm. It's clever, fresh, funny, and clearly shows some of the weaknesses we have in speaking "Christianese" and the expectations and opinions we all still carry at times. We can laugh at those awkward situations we've all found ourselves in.
It gets great reviews in my book and I can't wait to buy it on DVD.
