WAY better than the first one. It's a lot more engaging, the backgrounds and animation is spectacular, the characters are more likeable. It's a really good adventure film. My favorite parts are all the flying scenes with the golden eagle; They're right up there with the ones from How to Train Your Dragon.
If they played this in Imax, it'd be even more phenominal.
