Review of The Rescuers Down Under (1990) by Renzo V — 21 Oct 2014
"TWO MICE DOWN UNDER".
- 'The Rescuers Down Under' is a 1990 animation film produced by Walt Disney Productions and sequel to 'The Rescuers' from 1977. It was the first Disney sequel that was released in movie theaters. In this film Disney brings back the popular mice, Bernard and Bianca, who travel to Australia to rescue a kidnapped little boy. The movie is good, visually very interesting, but to me not as fantastic as the first one.
An Australian boy named Cody, releases a trapped golden eagle named Marahute, who is grateful and shows him her nest of eggs. On his way back home, the adventurous boy falls into a trap set by local poacher Perceval C. McLeach, who notices the golden feather that Cody received from Marahute. McLeach decides to take Cody with him in order to retrieve information about the bird he wishes to capture. A mouse witnesses the kidnapping and contacts the Rescue Aid Society, who send their top-representatives Bernard and Bianca. Can the mice save the boy and the golden eagle?
