Review of The Republic Of Love (2004) by Madeline M — 03 Apr 2010

I think I defaulted to liking this movie, even though there's this stupid thing with color that gives it all away (seriously) and the Bollywood soundtrack distracts (but it's too bad TRoL predates "Jage Soona Soona Lage" because it would have been perfect for some parts).

But Bruce Greenwood was adorable. And apparently I have a secret weakness for all members of the Fox family. Despite my hatred of the color gimmick, I did quite like the fairy tale parts (even though the mermaid thing was like being hit over the head).

And I hated some of what was said about love, and really liked other parts. So like I said, I'm defaulting to a position of liking it. But very conflictedly.
