Review of The Replacements (2000) by Lydia S — 17 Mar 2008
Saw this right after I saw We Are Marshall, and saw a LOT of similarities. This on one hand is a light hearted comedy sports underdog movie, while We Are Marshall is a sad, uplifting, underdog sports movie.
But, this movie had a soccer turned football star, that movie had a soccer turned football star...and probably a lot more similarities, but that one stood out to me. But I enjoyed this movie for what it was, it wasn't anything special, but Jon Favreau was fucking hilarious in this movie, I loved him.
And Rhys Ifans is just great in the little roles he gets. He needs to be in more movies.
