Review of The Replacements (2000) by Movie K — 08 Sep 2009
Sticking to the good old formula of people making a comeback and nail it. Otherwise nothing much to boost. Gene Hackman was task by Jack Warden to coach a team to qualify for the playoffs and he recruited Keanu Reeves who had a bad past in football.
Also recruited several weird and interesting characters like Rhys Ifans, Orlando Jones, Jon Favreau etc.. Along the way Keanu romances with the cheerleader Brooke Langton. They lose their first game. But start to bond and trust one another later and win games.
The management doesn't like Keanu and sack him in the last game. But he return and bring the team to victory.
