One of the best films ever shot. One of the best Hopkins performances (it's like the whole thing was written and shot with him in mind). For some reason I always cry when I watch this. Great sceneries, atmosphere, performances over the top.
Emma Thompson's really great as well. Rest of the cast's not bad, although Hopkins seems to overshadow everyone else (apart from his father perhaps, masterfully played).
