Review of The Remains of the Day (1993) by Yani D — 22 Feb 2008
A truly wonderful movie. Explores love and the great burden of suppressing these feelings behind a mask, and the inner pain that can result. The story looks at such things as duty and honour, which can cause us so easily to loose sight of the things that really matter.
First rate performances by Hopkins and Thompson.
