Review of The Remains of the Day (1993) by Janz D — 29 Sep 2009
It is very difficult to appreciate a film based on a book one recently read. And a very good book.
What can be said with solid certitude is that it follows the book's plot very well and makes wise decisions as to screen representation it's twists, and the acting is beyond praise. Hopkins and Thompson live their roles. If it were only for the acting, the movie is a must.
