Review of The Remaining (2014) by Jamie H — 11 Jun 2015
Lets be honest, shall we. Stories have been told since the beginning of man(and the last time I checked also of late)--they are always going to be around no matter what. The same thing goes for violence, catastrophe, fear, strife, murder and death.
Can it truly be said that one's story of violence or catastrophe is superior to another's. Well logically, no. It is way to easy to accept ones deeply ingrained aspect of culture and history as superior to anothers .
But it's much harder to believe that anybody elses cultural upbringing is of the same relevancy as one's own. This being said, its no wonder how even the best and worst, in all of us, still deal with the most basic of all questions.
And once that question is either answered or ignored. We still have the most basic of dilemmas to deal with. But one universal force always comes at play in the end. You see no matter what our beliefs, doctrine, creeds or ideologies are.
Power supersedes anything and everything.
