The Reluctant Fundamental is a moving, poignant portrait of man betwixt two worlds, both of which demand his allegiance, and a cause thrust upon him in the advent of the unseemly face of American patriotism after 9/11 and the Bush administrations' disastrous excursions to the Middle East.
Riz Ahmed gainly carries his performance with both charm and sizzling charisma; bringing forth a truly multi-layered character who is made more palpable with every word and gesture.
