Review of The Reluctant Fundamentalist (2013) by Kellie G — 27 Dec 2013
A well made "thriller" that should have left out the CIA/kidnapping plot and focused only on the lead character's story. Pure drama is where this film excels. Beautiful cinematography and music.
A great performance from actor Riz Ahmed. And an interesting look at America from an outsider POV. It's a film with a strong message that I wish had the emotional impact it could have had without the sidetracking present day plot.
