Life changing movie personally. The story and acting aren't all that great and it doesn't come close to the novel, but seeing the kathoga on screen was mindblowing. (Granted, this was '97 character animation, but it was freaking cool) It led me to the choice of going after a career in character animation/visual effects instead of desktop publishing.
Saw this about 10 times in the theater and will watch it whenever it comes on television.
Too bad they changed some important things that would have led to a cool sequal in "The Reliquary".
