Review of The Reef: Stalked (2022) by Cylack — 04 Feb 2023

Horrible movie. Another low budget movie where they don't spend any money on the shark CGI so they have to resort to stock footage. So imagine a shark attack scene where dramatic music is playing, a cut scene to the shark's menacing dorsal fin and then.....a cut scene to stock footage of a small looking great white shark just minding its own business. There was no horror or terror in this film because they did not put any effort and money into the shark scenes. Also, all of the characters are extremely annoying, especially the youngest girl.

Lastly, the whole bit of the lead character being traumatized by the death of her sister was pointless! It was so annoying when the director would cut to the same flashback sequence of her sister drowned in the bathtub in order to hit us over the head that the lead character still feels trauma. Who cares?! I just want to see some actions and horror in a shark movie.
