Review of The Red Violin (1998) by Kent R — 23 Apr 2011
Exquisite love story that has so many heart string tugging moments. From its birth the life of this fabulous "red" violin is followed throughout history revealing its power and effect upon those that own/play it. Somewhat difficult to follow through the flash forward auction scenes, but well worth sitting through for the rest of the historical portions of the film. All in all, a very enjoyable treat.
One of the few movies wherein Samuel Jackson and isn't yelling at someone throughout. Another pleasant surprise.
