Review of The Red Violin (1998) by Heather A — 08 Dec 2007
The Red Violin is a movie about a violin crafted in the late 17th century. The movie is a series of stories spanning 300 years (from the time it was made until present) and five countries (Italy, Austria, England, China and finally Canada).
Although some critics may say that the characters in the movie are not fully developed, my belief is that the violin is the main character. I think this movie was beautifully done with each story being told in the language of the country in which it is set.
It is a movie filled with love, mystery and intrigue.
