Review of The Red Violin (1998) by Teresa S — 04 Nov 2008
(1999 Director: Francois Girard) Had been looking forward to this one--and it was not a dissappointment! Story follows the "life" of this red violin created as a masterpiece by Niccolo Brazzolo in 1683! Tragic storyline.
This violin survives incredible changes in the times since it was made--Renaissance thru Chairman Mao obtaining power in China! My son already wants to study violin.....a red Stratavaious!? I AM UNSURE WHICH ACTORS' PERFORMANCES I ENJOYED THE MOST! DO RENT/BUY THIS ONE & PLEASE SHARE IT! Samuel L.
Jackson is I believe something of his true self in this one!
