Review of The Red Violin (1998) by Hannah H — 19 Nov 2011
This really is a beautiful movie! It is the best kind of epic tale--one with something so magnificently inconsequential at its center with all of the meaning it creates over history dancing around it. It does an amazing job of jumping from different time period, different locations, different cultures without getting lost or drowning in its own self-importance.
So well done.
