Review of The Red Cliff (1949) by Jens S — 22 Dec 2012
As pure as historical fantasy gets, Red Cliff is as visually stunning and enchanting as it is visceral and clever. It's not just a battle of swords, spears and boats; there's duelling instruments, warring egos and and the ultimate battle of man versus nature.
It's a long film, but there's nothing repetitive; Red Cliff's many charms and talents will hold you tight to it and never let go.
