Review of The Recruit (2003) by Niklas J — 02 Mar 2013
Takes itself to serious considering that it's definitely not a masterpiece, but an averagely entertaining thriller. Like so many other USA movies of this genre, it contains strong propaganda elements and portraits the CIA as the good guys that can do almost anything.
Something that is not very believable considering how much they rely on lie-detector test, something the civilised western world doesn't use because it's common knowledge that it doesn't work.
