Review of The Reaping (2007) by Barbara F — 29 Jul 2008
An interesting, tense and suspenceful film, however disappointingly not frightening.
The protagonist played by Hilary Swank was far too much like a modernised version of Dr. Lancaster in The Exorcist or Exorcist: The Beginning.. Other similarites in the film's plotline were too much alike that the film didn't seem unique and didn't hold up as it's own idea.
Images were horrorfying and use of visual effects were well done, the acting wasn't great, no surprises there, Hilary Swank has yet to impress me.
