Review of The Reaping (2007) by Jill R — 25 Nov 2008
Didn't you win an award for acting, Ms. Swank? What the fuck happened? This was on-par with Catwoman bad in the acting category. It's basically about a village full of people who voted for Bush twice and suport the ever-living fuck out of McCain out to kill a little girl because she's causing a lame, CGI reproduction of The Ten Commandments, sans Charlton Heston.
It's big "twist" was incredibly predictable, overly hyped by the film itself and lack-luster, leading up to incineration, which is exactly what I wanted to do to my eyes within twenty minutes of this film's beginning.
Don't bother seeing this, despite it's large hype because of it's delayed release; it's not worth yours and anyone else's time.
