An eccentric billionaire (Richard Attenborough) is aiming to open a theme park featuring dinosaurs miraculously resurrected via genetic engineering. He wants three eminent scientists to vet his project, but things turn sideways when the creatures bust loose.
One of the most profitable movies ever shot, Jurassic Park is a highlight of Steven Spielberg's ambitions as a crowd-pleasing director. Its special effects have aged better than one would assume and its fast-paced cinematography make the movie one of the most entertaining popcorn flicks of its period.
