Review of The Real Jurassic Park (1993) by Jason M — 08 Feb 2016
Thrills and spills of a group of humans stranded on an island theme park of regenerated dinosaurs. Do you see where this is going? It doesn't get too much deeper than that.
Directed by Steven Spielberg, and it shows. Big budget, cutting edge animation, Jeff Goldblum smart aleck comments in the face of a T-Rex, does not make for a classic film, rather, it makes for a typical Hollywood Spielberg blockbuster for the bone-headed masses.
The film is important for George Lucas' ground-breaking special effects, paving the way for great movies such as The Lord Of The Rings and others that could then follow using the new technology.
Even the Toronto Raptors were named after the velociraptor dinosaurs in the famous kitchen scene!
