Review of The Real Glory: Reconstructing 'The Big Red One' (2005) by Jussi T — 27 Nov 2007
There are plenty of excellent films in the Samuel Fuller canon, but this is the picture he was born to make. Sure tons of films have been made about WWII, but through Fuller all the bullshit is cut out and we're given an honest, at times frightening portrayal of a unit who served in every area in the world during the war.
I've never seen the severly butchered theatrical cut and I never plan on it.
