Review of The Reagans (2003) by John W — 22 Aug 2008
Wonderfully cast and v. entertaining. James Brolin's look and mannerisms are spot on and Judy Davis capably captures Nancy's cool aloofness without lapsing into her award-winning Judy Garland schtick. John Stamos makes a lacklustre appearance as a weasly campaign manager who disappears from the plot almost as quickly as he entered it.
In company with Brolin and Davis was Zoie Palmer in her portrayal of rebellious Patti Reagan, who struggles to make her mark in a family to which she felt she never belonged.
Thoroughly enjoyable.
Borrow it from the Halifax Library! :).
