Review of The Reader (2008) by Justin A — 13 Oct 2011
Berg (Fiennes) is re-living memories of his first, and perhaps only, love (Winslet). Young Berg (age 15) finds himself in the hands of a much older woman (age 36) in 1950's Germany after getting sick.
The secret affair lasts a short period in time, but has a lifelong effect. David Kross does an excellent job portraying the excitement of a young boys' first love and then the anguish after having that love leave before he's ready.
Not the emotional venture I was expecting, but a very good movie none-the-less.
