Saw this on 18/5/15.
The Reader is an extremely underrated film and the critics must be given a smack in the head for calling this emotionally distant. It's got fine performances from it's entire cast especially from Kate Winslet. It is at the same time a romantic drama as well as a historical drama and the film succeeds on both levels.
